Abstract

The health effects of exposure electric and magnetic fields are the topic of ongoing scientific research. Competent bodies form expert review committees to evaluate these effects. The conclusions of USA National Research Council, International Commission on Non Ionizing Radiation, European Union Council, USA National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, UK National Radiation Protection Board and World Health Organization – International Agency for Research on Cancer about the effects of to extremely low frequency fields are presented. ICNIRP Guidelines and European Union Council Recommendation limit values are also presented. Conclusions about the epidemiological and experimental research are drawn.
