Power System Planning and Control, Distribution Systems Planning Problem, Tabu Search, Approximate Solution Algorithm
This paper proposes a solution algorithm for solving a distribution planning problem in which multiple operating states are taken into account. Since the problem can be mathematically formulated as a combinatorial optimization problem, it is difficult to solve the problem exactly in practically available calculation time. The proposed solution algorithm is based on tabu search method which is expected to obtain an approximate solution for the combinatorial optimization problems within practical calculation time. Several numerical examples demonstrate the validity and the effectiveness of the algorithm.
