In this paper, a synchronous generator including power system stabilizier (PSS), voltage regulator and governor is considered. This generator also has a superconducting magnetic energy stroge (SMES) unit at its terminal bus. The investigation of the performance of the system during a load deviation is done by using only one neural network (NN) controller, which affects the exciter input. Non linear power system control is provided as an application of feed-forward NN in this paper. The back propagation through-time algorithm is used as a control rule for the NN controllers.
