FACTS, interconnected power system, power flow control.
Power electronic technology pays an important role on securing flexible power flow control and economical power transfer among power networks. In this paper, it reports on studies relating to application of this technology on the South China transmission network of which development will be coordinated with its neighboring Hong Kong Power system. Basic functions of the FACTS control are demonstrated in the case studies.
