Abstract

In this letter, we present a 3-D adaptive fuzzy C-means algorithm to speaker data compression in which a speaker data is represented by a 3-D data volume. The algorithm is an extension of the 2-D adaptive fuzzy C-means algorithm and 3-D segment algorithm presented in previous work by the authors. Experimental results show that the performance of this system is very good. Not only are the small memory space and little computation required, in the speaker identification system, but, more importantly, it shows strong robustness on noisy sources.
