A Pipelined Frequency Domain Linear Equalizer

An efficient pipelined architecture for the implementation of the frequency domain linear equalizer is presented. The Frequency Domain (FD) LMS algorithm is utilized for the adaptation of the equalizer coefficients. Pipelining of the FD LMS algorithm is achieved by introducing an amount of time delay into the original adaptive scheme, and follow ing by proper delay retiming.
