Abstract

We used the techniques of Discrete Cosine Transform, Multirate, and Wavelet functions to compress the EEG signal. The paper presents the hardware required for constructing a portable EEG multichannel system. Numerous experimental results for data compressing using the techniques mentioned and software proposed show the signal fidelity when compressing parameters like as different Wavelets functions, its order, thresholding, decomposition level, decimation interpolation relation, number of taps into the FIR filters are being chosen.
