Abstract

This paper proposes a new algorithm for joint blind equalization and carrier recovery of QAM systems. Simulation results demonstrate that the rate of convergence achieved by the proposed algorithm may approach that of trained equalization using the LMS algorithm, while the steady-state mean square error (MSE) achieved by the proposed algorithm may approach that of trained equalization using the RLS algorithm.
