oscillatory emission tomography, spatial structure, numerical simulation
A new method for measuring two-dimensional spatial structure of oscillatory processes in luminous objects, based on emission-tomography principles, is considered. The essence of the method consists in registering integral emission Fourier-spectra at various viewing angles in planar cross sections of the object under study. The distributions reconstructed from measured projections with the help of computational tomography algorithms reflect the oscillatory spatial structure of interest. Some specific features of the method are studied in a computational experiment.
