Abstract

Scalable cluster architecture is ideal to map task level parallelism. Fault tolerance is an important issue in distributed computing environments. This paper presents a fault tolerance method for pipelined cluster architecture. Implementation of the environment supports the execution of Java programs designed after the pipeline computation model using the classes provided. A fault model, fault detection method, and recovery scheme are presented
