According to the Capability Maturity Model (CMM), software process is a key aspect to decide the maturity of a software institution. A step-wise decomposition of a software process allows separation of micro-level details from macro-level overviews; this helps comprehension, since not all personnel need to know the minute detail of the process. It also makes process specification easier by using the divide-and-rule principle. In this paper we use a new process specification language to demonstrate step wise decomposition of software processes.
