Over the last four years in the Software Engineering Project unit at the University of Tasmania the students have undertaken projects in teams. This paper provides anecdotal evidence, observation and experiences of students attempting to work in teams. The many lessons learned led to modifications to the team experience that resulted in more cohesive and effective teams.
