Abstract

A ”film” is a new type of abstraction combining both mathematical and physical concepts. We use this abstraction to represent multiple views of algorithms and corresponding programs. In this paper an outline of our approach to pro gram gene ration from the film specification is presented. Multimedia languages related to the film format and sup porting environment are briefly explained. The remaining of the paper focuses on system data to encode film frames and on the method for selecting template programs related to computational schemes represented by films. An exam ple of template programs is also provided.
