The CBD (component-based development) approach has been recently considered as the most proper for software development in information technology for its reusability and productivity. However, the researches for the transformation of the legacy system to the component based system have not been proliferated yet. This paper proposes an analysis technique for extracting components needed to transform a legacy system to a component based system. A code analyzer is also explained here that takes the servlet code to extract the EJB components from the servlet web program.
