Distance education methods have been evolving for a long time. The latest development in telecommunication facilities has enabled the expansion of these methods into new areas and also into the former Soviet countries. In this paper several distance learning methods are introduced and different technical solutions are evaluated. The most suitable solution was selected and tested in a field experiment.
