Performance Analysis of Space-time Block Codes in Time-selective Fading Channels

The performance of Space-Time Block Codes in timeselective fading channels is studied. The effect of frame length and frequency offset on performance of STBC is analyzed and their optimal values established. The Differential and Double Differential STBCs, that do not require the underlying channel information, are studied as alternatives in time-selective fading channels. Their performance is analysed for different frequency offsets and the robustness of the Double Differential STBCs to the time-selective nature of the channel is established through an extensive simulation study.
