Abstract

Since most the exact underlying mechanisms of many biochemical processes are still unknown, people start to probe modeling and simulation methods to describe, understand, and predict those processes, based on some limited amount of experimental data. In this paper, a model based on forward/reverse rates is proposed, and a corresponding parameter estimation method is provided. In this way, when enough equilibrium experimental data of a certain biochemical process is given, a dynamic model can be established, so that the time courses of all the involved substrates can be obtained to explain the experimental data and predict the behavior of the process in other conditions. Meanwhile, a modified version of the proposed parameter method can be used in other models.
