Abstract

Traceback technology is tracing back a malicious hacker to his real location. As traceback technology, one has pervasively used a very passive method dependent on an analysis of system log by the administrator and an information exchange among the administrators. But this method requires the high cost and cannot trace back hacker's real location at real time owing to the manual analysis of system log and the intervention of the administrators. Therefore, we need more efficient and intelligent traceback method that can autonomously trace back hacker's real location at real time. In this paper, we propose the network-based real-time traceback system that is applicable to the current Internet.
