Simulation and Design of the New AHRS Unit

Abstract

This contribution deals with an issue of an aircraft attitude calculation and simulation. This paper also describes a design of AHRS (Attitude Heading and Reference System) short time backup unit. The proposed AHRS uses 3-axis magnetometer and GPS receiver. The whole study is based on Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) system knowledge and consequential Matlab simulation. The project is related to the UAV program Sojka.
