Abstract

In this paper, average probability of error and number of active users in ultra-wideband (UWB) using DS-CDMA technique is analyzed. Amplitude fading of each path in the channel response is Nakagami-m distributed with arbitrary fading parameter and average power. We have assumed maximal ratio combining method for the RAKE receiver. The optimal number of RAKE receiver fingers is calculated as a function of different channels responses in an exponentially decaying average power model.
