Abstract

The human face identification often requires an approach based on several computer vision methods, able to solve step-by-step the problem of face comparison between suspected persons respect to a reference criminal subject. This operative protocol, used in italian judicial cases, consists of identifying and measuring some anthropo metric face features. In this paper, the authors describe an objective technique for the personal identification of bank robbers using morphometric analysis of images recorded on video-tapes. After the presentation of the problem and the base comparison techniques, some methods to evaluate the identification indices will be shown.
