This paper presents analysis and design methodologies for electromagnetic micro-generators that extract energy from natural vibrations; thus facilitating self-powered electric devices. Parameters tuning methodologies are developed to extract the most of available power. A novel two generator system is introduced to overcome practical limitations of single generators; namely bandwidth and efficiency. The physical size to produced power ratio is also reduced due to relaxing the condition on vibration amplitudes. Computer simulation results are presented to validate the proposed system configuration and corresponding design methodologies. System design steps are illustrated with a typical design problem.
