Abstract

In this paper, we introduce a novel method for watermark signal generation using some properties of “complete set of residues” related to number theory. We produce a bi nary (bi-valued) watermark signal to manipulate a digital image watermarking. It is embedded on a grayscale image. The proposed watermarks have three main properties. They have low pass characteristics. It would make them robust against several attacks such as compression, filtering, noise addition, scaling, cropping and rotation. Their security is proved to be acceptable. The watermarks are detected by employing the shape detection method in which a visible logo (owner specific logo) is produced.
