ECG, Digitization, Data Compression, Wavelet Transform.
Archiving hard copy ECG records and sharing them in a broader network have become an important issue in hospitals around the world. A simple and effective method of converting hard copy ECG images to electronic data is presented in this paper. In addition, compressing the digitized ECG data using wavelet transform is investigated.
