Abstract

Experimental data of impedance variability of the Contra wound Toroidal Helical Antenna (CTHA), operated at 3rd resonance, in the presence of a conductive plate, is presented. The results obtained for the CTHA indicate only moderate relative impedance variations when compared to dipoles and loops, while the relative physical height is reduced considerably over a vertical dipole.
