Adaptive antennas are traditionally used in non-consumer applications due to large size, complexity, or cost con straints. This work describes an architecture for a smart antenna system that can be designed in an integrated cir cuit. This method uses LINC ampliļ¬ers and baseband pro cessing to implement a low-cost transmitter beam steering system for use in consumer WLAN applications.
