DES, image encryption, robustness, avalanche effect
By introducing a new initial permutation table in DES, a novel digital image encryption method based on DES is proposed in this paper. It is shown that the algorithm has the favorable avalanche effect and has the characteristic of distributing pixel uniformity. The corresponding encryption algorithm is robust to some image anti-attack test.
