Abstract

: This paper utilizes the measured characteristics of typical residential nonlinear (e.g., central air conditioners, personal computers, microwave ovens, incandescent and high-efficiency light bulbs) loads [1] with historical data, population and economic growth to perform a five-year peak-load demand forecast for the state of Colorado and the greater Rocky Mountain region.
