Design Patterns based Software in Automated Furnace for Growing Silicon Single Crystal

The process of software creation of one of the software components for automated furnace to grow silicon crystals is described. This component is data base where all relevant to crystal growing process parameters are stored. During the creation of his component the Object Oriented (OO) approach along with the methodology of Unified Software Development Process (UP) has been used. Classical OO approach has been enlarged by the usage of Design Patterns (DP). The article considers the evolution and advantages of design patterns usage in different phases of UP.
