Abstract

The problem of the partial discharge (PD) extinction is investigated. The transient process takes place in the small spherical inclusion which is located in the dielectric. The losses caused by polarization and ohmic losses are taking into account as the dielectric parameters. The dielectric is considered as an active two-pole element with respect to inclusion and inclusion represents by own current-voltage curve. It is showed that PD extinction voltage depends on the polarization component of the dissipation factor.
