This article discusses different methods for interharmonic measurement in power systems and uses the interharmonic group concept to study the background interharmonic voltages in a low-voltage power supply system. The results obtained show that interharmonic amplitudes are greater over the whole spectrum studied than the values previously reported in the literature and occasionally greater than the compatibility levels recommended by the international organizations.
