Based on the current application state and problems of relay protection technique, this paper analyzes the requirements of relay protection on data processing and analyzing. Then the structure and characteristic of data warehouse are introduced. The idea of data warehouse application to relay protection management information system (RPMIS) is brought forward, and how to build a data warehouse in RPMIS is discussed in detail. Finally, its application prospect is described.
