Abstract

Shape matching is done using the distances and angles of corners from the center. The center of gravity is selected as the reference point, and the principal axis is selected as the reference line. The corner points are marked as the nodes. Normalized distances are calculated from the reference point to the corner nodes. The angle between the vector from the reference point to the nodes and the reference line are stored along with the normalized distances. Euclidean distance of the query object with database objects is used for shape matching criteria.
