Abstract

Performance analysis based diagnostics software is one of the most powerful tools for analysis and fault detection of gas turbine. Model based diagnostic software requires an accurate thermodynamic model of gas turbine in order to estimate different performance related parameters in new and clean conditions. This paper describes a gas turbine model specifically designed for diagnostic software which is capable of detecting faults including compressor fouling, turbine erosion, etc for industrial gas turbine. Application of this software can result in substantial economical savings as well as improved plant operation and also can help optimize power plants maintenance program.
