Abstract

When bridging Resilient Packet Rings, available band width drops dramatically because traffic between rings must be flooded on all the rings. This paper proposes en hancements to topology discovery and spanning tree al gorithm that will manage traffic between rings more effi ciently and remove the need for flooding.
