Abstract

Research has revealed that students who examine past experiences and as a consequence form and apply new concepts to present situations move from being passive learners to active doers [1]. This paper describes the implementation of an application whose function is the provision of flexible student-centered training in study skills utilizing the above concept. The system offers interactive modules whose content engages the student user and entices them to reflect on past experiences thus encouraging them to become independent learners. The system also encourages collaborative and peer-supported learning by offering a discussion forum that enables students to share ideas and experiences.
