Recently the embedded software and system technology has been developed rapidly and paid great attentions. In many fields using embedded system is inevitable. The functionalities of embedded system become more powerful and sophisticated. Therefore the more productive software platforms are required. We developed the next generation software platform for embedded system based SmartEOS. In this paper we will describe a summary of this software platform. First the recent and future functionalities and applications of embedded system will be mentioned. Then we will summarize the requirement of SMART. Last we will describe the architecture of the software platform.
