During the reproduction of 3D-video, based on monoscopic video and corresponding depth information, two virtual views have to be generated for binocular perception. The depth-image-based rendering (DIBR) provides one method for the implementation. This paper describes a new ap proach to reproduce 3D-video sequences, based on dy namic 3D-meshes. It offers the possibility for efficient compression of the depth information at the same time. The implementation of this approach takes advantage of the abilities of current graphics hardware. As programming in terface the graphics library OpenGL was used.
