High speed camera, image processing, object tracking
This paper presents an intelligent high speed video system for microtechnology applications. The system is based on a specially designed camera achieving 1300 fps for the ac tive image area with 640x480 pixels, and approximately 16,000 fps for a smaller region of interest (ROI) with 64x64 pixels. The intelligent high speed video system also includes a real-time image processing unit to handle the information provided by the image sensor. The region of interest is determined by an object tracking algorithm. The presented system is capable of detecting, tracking, and pro viding information for controlling a freely moving droplet.
