Abstract

This paper deals with the problem of modelling PFM controllers used in ZCS resonant converters. As an example of such a class of controllers, a monolithic MC34066 controller is considered and investigated. A new form of MC34066 macromodel dedicated for SPICE is proposed. The macromodel parameter values are obtained from the measured characteristics. The correctness of the macromodel has been verified experimentally.
