Abstract

The Multi-Path Architecture (MPA) [2, 3, 4, 5] is a framework with a knowledge-base and multiple interference engines. One of the main contributions of this research is the declarative specification of search space [1] of search problems and specification of various, parallel search engines in a single framework. These features of MPA are partially due to explicit representation of the state of inferencing process in a shared knowledgebase. In this paper we explore data visualization as it relates to providing better understanding and insight into the very important and complex problem of exploring the search space of a problem. Our approach takes advantage of the explicit representation of the state of the inferencing process in MPA and current graph drawing technology.
