Two main features of the MAC-hs protocol of HSDPA are retransmissions of erroneous blocks and in-sequence data delivery to the above layer. The first functionality is fulfilled through the use of HARQ mechanism. The sec ond function is achieved by using a specific numbering and by managing transmitting/receiving window. We ana lyze the MAC-hs performance for different sizes of the windows and for different values of a reordering release window timer.
