Abstract

: A reversible logic gate is proposed in this paper, which can be used to implement any classical Boolean logic gate. The application of the reversible gate in implementing two benchmark functions, ripple carry and carry skip adders has been presented. These adders are more efficient than adders implemented using Fredkin Gates and have the least garbage output than any other design.
