Abstract

Optimal task execution time and energy consumption scheduling for real-time Systems on a Chip (SoC) is NP hard problem. Therefore usually simplified heuristic adaptive methods for embedded system design and intuitive adaptability for their estimation is used. By analysis of great number of adaptive systems and using their relative comparison approach 4 quantitative criteria are developed and proposed for SoC design: dynamic voltage-time scaling, fine-grained and coarse-grained micro architecture and domain architecture adaptability.
