On the Capacity of Full-Surface Channels

Abstract

The capacity of a full-surface channel (i.e. noisy 2-D ISI channel) is computed as a function of the entropy rate. The entropy rate is estimated by using the outputs of a greedy algorithm which performs sub-ML demodulation on re ceived signals.
