Potential of the radio technologies in the improvement of the capacity in cellular networks is highly dependent on the effectiveness of the power control. A power control procedure is needed to compensate the fluctuation of mo bile's transmitting power received in a base station and to increase the capacity of mobile communication systems via decreasing intra- and inter-cellular interference. Here we consider fuzzy set theory based adaptive-step-size closed loop multiphase power control scheme(s) in which trans mitters adjust theirs power step sizes according to the re ceived multiphased power control commands from base stations without an increase in the control bit rate. A sin gle transmitter's control results in network with interfering nodes are compared to a predefined step size power control scheme.
