CMA method, CMA cost function.
In this paper, a new cost function for constant magnitude (CM) adaptive algorithm is proposed. The proposed cost function provides weighting function that is set to be small when the output of the adaptive system is large. On the other hand, the weighting function is large when the output is small. By doing so, the effect of large amplitude signal is reduced. The simulation results show that by using small , we can obtain lower steady state error than that when large is applied. Therefore we can conclude that by using the proposed method, we can obtain better equalizer than that when using the conventional approach.
