CAF, Cross Ambiguity Function, filter banks,
This paper describes a new method for Cross Ambiguity Function (CAF) plane processing for simultaneous detection and estimation of Time Difference of Arrival and Frequency Difference of Arrival of signals received at two spatially separated receivers. Computation of the CAF plane is done in subbands using transform domain Perfect Reconstruction Filter Banks. The method described allows the removal of interference from the CAF without the degradation to the Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) estimate that recombining the results noncoherently would incur. Simulation results of proposed method and computational complexity analysis illustrate the advantages of the method over other state-of-the art algorithms.
