Neural Net Modelling of Ultrasonic Propagation in Non-Homogeneous Media

Abstract

This work presents the results obtained in the modelling of the ultrasonic propagation in environments with strongly variable humidity and temperature conditions. From the measurements acquired in an experimental chamber in a wide operation range, we have used a neural network to obtain the propagation model. Due to the non linearity of the dependence of the propagation of these parameters the neural net are very good potential tools for this target. Several configurations of these nets has been tried and tested and the best net that produces an acceptable model is shows.
