Abstract

The second-order statistics level crossing rate (LCR) and average duration of fading (ADF) of three indoor environments are analyzed. The LCR and ADF of a random process transmit useful information of the original process, especially in the diversity-combining process. In this work analysis of LCR and ADF in two indoor and one outdoor to indoor environment was performed. Actual measurements are used to make the analysis. LCR is calculated in several envelope thresholds and its relationship with envelope change was evaluated. Average duration of fades ADF are calculated and analyzed. Graphics are provided of LCR and ADF for three environments.
